501c3 Non Profit Foundation

We are a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization

In March of 2010, our world was turned upside down when our then three year old son was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive muscle cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma. Jed underwent two surgeries and 24 chemo treatments as well as several hosptial stays during his battle with childhood cancer. He is now scanning "NED", No Evidence of Disease! We know how hard it is to endure a trial without the loving help of others. Many families and businesses stepped in to relieve some of our biggest burdens. We pray at Sharing JED, that we can now give back! We want to help other families faced with similar situations. Our hope is that we are able to daily, spead the love of Jesus Christ. How can I help?

Summer is over and cooler weather is just around the corner! Hospital rooms are usually very cold. Your donations of brand new blankets are always a great blessing to our foundation.

Thank you Sidney Brooke and Peyton for these two beautiful fleece blankets.
Violet loved her blanket!
Are you looking for a project for your child or youth group to help Share JED? These warm fleece blankets are always a hit with our oncology kids!

Thank you for helping our family Share JED...Jesus Every Day!!

Sharing JED

Welcome to Sharing JED..Jesus Every Day, The Jed Harper Foundation.

We started this foundation in 2011 as a way to "give back" after so many people helped us during our journey with childhood cancer.

Jed is scanning "NED"..no evidence of disease! Now that his battle is over and he is currently enjoying his first year of school as a big kindergarten student, my focus is on this foundation.

In 2011 we took in over $12,000 in just 4 months! We were able to do many thing to spread the love of Christ with this money.  We took on a big home remodel project for a family in need of wheelchair accessibility in their home. We cater meals to the ACH oncology floor parents, paid for several hotel rooms for cancer patient families as well as transplant families. We stocked backpacks full of food to help supplement the Rice Depot program at our local school. We stock the family room, parent room, and toy closet on a regular basis at ACH, feed families in hospice and icu waiting rooms in our local hospitals, and we were able to help build a wheelchair ramp for a couple wheelchair bound people in our area. Sharing JED was able to deliver gifts to ACH oncology children two days before Christmas. We personally delivered over $3,000 worth of gifts! We support Operation Christmas Child as well as our local Operation Santa program for children and families in need. We purchase little tykes wheels for cancer children who are confined to their home due to germs. We make several house payments, electric bill payments and car payments throughout the year to those in need. We were even able to pay off a car to a single mom who has a child in the cancer unit at ACH as a surprise to her! We continually hand out gift cards to McDonalds, Burger King, etc for families in the hospital. Grocery and food money is one the most requested needs to our foundation and we supply these items on a weekly, almost daily basis. We continue to organize diaper drives for families who are struggling to purchase diapers for their children.

These are just a few of the things we do at Sharing JED! New opportunities arise every day and we do our very best to meet those needs.

If you would like to be a part of this ministry, it's easy! Contact us or check out some of our wonderful volunteer opportunities. We couldn't do this without the generous help of others!
